This spread will make your mouth water. The apostrophe is meant to make the name instantly recognizable. Schnal'z aims to be unique and not simply a vegan lard.
A symphony of creativity, high-quality organic ingredients, sophisticated recipes, and modern production technology results in a purely plant-based melt-in-the-mouth spread. "The Original" is reminiscent of Grandma's best rendered meat fat. Savory, hearty, a treat you'll want to enjoy again and again.
We weren't really aiming for a substitute product. We wanted to offer a super delicious sprouted spread. And Schnal'z isn't just for bread. You'll find other ways to use it in delicious dishes in the recipe section.
At PepUpLife, sprouts are an essential part of the mix: By adding 11% dried sprouts, we achieve two things. Firstly, a crispy texture, and secondly, the sprouts contribute to a balanced diet. You can simply enjoy it as a spread.
Schnal'z – a clear, clean product
The recipe and its subsequent production implementation took almost a year, with many ups and downs along the way. Working with experienced partners (an IFS-Global Food certified company), we succeeded in bringing the taste of "homemade" to the jar.
We don't explicitly mention on the label that no artificial additives (preservatives, flavor enhancers, (hidden) sugar, etc.) go into our jars. This is a given for us, as all ingredients are organic.
We also don't use palm oil – instead, we use organic, unhydrogenated coconut oil. This means that the Schnal'z will soften if not refrigerated – but that's no problem, it will quickly become soft again in the refrigerator.

Naturally, everything is organic and without added sugar or other artificial substances.
